120K Shotgun Gets Shoplifted in HP Village

The police blotter in tomorrow’s Park Cities People will include a noteworthy Skulduggery Of The Week item entitled “Happy Hunting.”

A shotgun with a retail value of $120,000 was stolen from the Beretta store sometime between 10 and 11:45 a.m. on Nov. 26, Highland Park police said. The store contained no surveillance cameras, according to a police incident report. “We’re not completely blank on this one, but to be completely honest with you, we don’t have a lot to go on,” said Lt. Paul Sandman, an investigator with the Highland Park Department of Public Safety’s criminal investigations division. “We are working with Beretta right now to strengthen physical security aspects of the store so something like this can’t happen in the future.”

This picture is not actually the robber, just a depiction of the scene (how I imagined it) made possible by Google images. Interested in the full story, click here.
