Thai Protestors Prevent Betta Fish from Leaving Country

I was wondering what the status was on my new betta fish from Thailand. Well I just got an e-mail from Lek in Thailand. Apparently the anti-government protesters have
taken over the Bangkok airport and are making demands of the the Prime Minster. It looks like my fish are stuck in thailand for right now. Lek, our thought are with you and your fish.
Hello Jonathan,
Please forgive us that we must wait since our international airport is having some problem as you can check with cnn news in USA, we will ship as soon as airport ready. Incredible!! Our country is going to collapse by the anti-government protesters (Actually, they should be called "Terrorist") Suwanabhumi airport has been stormed and closed since Tuesday. Now...Our shipment to Linda need to postpone for a week or two until everything is cleared. Let's hope, the government can stop this terrible situation the soonest.

Hair Try

A virtual toupee shop lets you upload a photo and try on a multitude of toupees and eyeglasses. But it's in Japanese. It is creepy how it animates your photo into a version of yourself that watches where your mouse goes. Click here to try it yourself.

Someone is throwing rocks at cars on the Dallas North Tollway

Someone has been throwing rocks at moving cars near the new Oaklawn entrance since late last week. Obviously this has created a dangerous situation. The rocks are being thrown from the east side of the Tollway, towards the northbound traffic and they have hit about five or six cars. Damn Kids. Unconfirmed reports had the rock thrower as "big and hairy." More here

My Little Pony: Déjà Vu?

Toy  horses usually come in pink and plastic -- and aimed at young girls. But this little pony is 100 percent natural and ready to make friends with anyone her size. Born ten days ago in Victoria, Australia, the 15" horse has already formed a bond with Sam Leth, 12. Story continued here

This horse/boy bond reminds me of one we all know too well.

Dunkin' Donuts opens Friday!!!!!!!

The location at the former Ball’s Hamburgers opens at 5 a.m. this Friday. There will be a ribbon cutting Monday. Dunkin’ Donuts will open its first central Dallas location in 3404 Rankin Street in University Park’s Snider Plaza… The store will also hold an official grand opening celebration on Monday, Dec. 1 with giveaways for the first 200 people in the store, as well as a ribbon cutting ceremony with the mayor of University Park at 10 a.m.

What's wrong with this picture?

Is there something hanging out of her nose? Maybe an accidental nip slip? Nope, keep looking. If you still can't figure it out, click here to see the part blurred out. This exercise came from the blog, Tasty Booze. Their tag-line: "Beer. Babes. Funny Business." I need to spend more time on my tag-line if it is going to be as good as theirs.

Judge Awards $873M Fine for Spamming Facebook

A Canadian citizen was slapped with an $873 million fine Friday for sending approximately 4 million spam e-mail messages to Facebook users – the largest judgment ever handed down for a violation of the federal CAN-SPAM Act.

In March and April 2008, Adam Guerbuez and his company, Atlantic Blue Capital, used Facebook login information obtained through phishing schemes and third parties to send spam advertisements for marijuana, male enhancement drugs, and sexually oriented material to users' Facebook "Walls" and e-mail inboxes. Japanese Tavern Defies Economic Slowdown

A restaurant defies the global economic slowdown by using monkeys as waiters. They bring hot hand towels and ash trays to your table. They take your money and leave you with a smile. All they ask is for in return is a soybean or two. To get around animal rights laws, the owner only works his monkeys 2 hours per day.

Coming at You! NFL Looks at 3-D

With sports fans still getting used to their high-definition television sets (Evan has had one for a while now), the National Football League is already thinking ahead to the next potential upgrade: 3-D.

Next week, a game between the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders will be broadcast live in 3-D to theaters in Los Angeles, New York and Boston. It is a preliminary step on what is likely a long road to any regular 3-D broadcasts of football games. More here

Fore! Here Comes the Ultimate Golf Ball

When someone asks you, "What's your handicap?" you can confidently tell them, "Well, my golf ball's design does not optimize its drag coefficient which results in a lower loft and spin rate from its poor aerodynamics." More here

Bacon, Bacon, Bacon

After stumbling across this rather disturbing Adolf Hitler impersonator using only bacon strips, I decided to scour the internet for other novel uses of this versatile meat. These images are NSFFCW (Not Suitable For Fans of Charlotte's Web).

Catfish and Basketball

Jeff Bridges shares the heartwarming tale of a giant catfish and a basketball it tried to eat. The lesson: "Be kinder than necessary 'cause everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle." To see the rest of the pics, click here

This magnanimous event transpired "50 miles north of Houston"....with a little bit of research, I determined it to be in or around Lake Conroe, Texas.
